The Polish air force yesterday took delivery of the first of C-130Es the service is receiving from the Pentagon.
The asset is being transferred under U.S. foreign military financing activities. A total of five C-130Es are to be handed over through next year. The aircraft are being upgraded to prolong their useful life, with plans for 600 flight hours over 20 years.
The aircraft will be used by the 14th air transport squadron at Powidz air base.
The testing on these aircraft are done by Tactical Flight Services, Inc. Kennesaw Ga.
